[ closed ] Island hopping from St Maarten to Martinique on a 27 ft Albin Vega Sint Maarten to Martinique ref 10456

wants 1 crew for Largio, Albin Vega 27, 8m.

From Marigot/Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten to Le Marin, Martinique.

May 2019 to June 2019.

Hello my name is Lars and i am looking for one person as crew to island hop from Sint Maarten to Martinique with me on my 27 ft Albin Vega. I am living on my 8.25 meter Albin Vega since a year and am sailing on her since then. I crossed the atlantic on her in May 2018 and cruise the caribbean since. I am looking for a person with a little bit of sailing experience, you should at least have been on a boat for a few times and know the basics of sailing. You should know that 8.25 meter is very small and there is no luxury on board, there is a toilet in the forward cabin but no shower, i bath in the sea or with a camping shower on the boom. I am currently installing additional solar panels and a fridge, so there is room for a few cold beers ;) But apart from the small size, she is a lovely boat and so seaworthy, i have not felt unsafe once since living on her. Of course i have all the licenses and sailing experience. If there is the need to go into a marina or onto a mooring, we will share the costs but i am planning on anchoring 99 percent of the time. If there are any immigration or custom costs we will also share these. Regarding provisioning we will just go shopping together before we leave and also share these costs. I charge a little money for the trip like chipping in some bucks for some of the repairs that always come up. I found out over time that 150 US Dollar or Euro per weeks are what i consider fair and reasonable to island hop the caribbean on a very small sailboat. My plan is to sail down south from St Maarten and stop at most of the islands and have a nice time. I am 34 years old and i am originally from germany. I bought the boat after the atlantic crossing and plan to live on it for a long time. I live in the forward cabin and you get a bunk in the main room and a lot of storage space for your things. It ís like sleeping on my couch ;) I think we should skype or video call to get to know each other properly. What do you think ? If you are interested, shoot me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. Greetings Lars
