[ Archived ] RORC Caribbean 600 Race – Antigua Antigua & Barbuda to Antigua & Barbuda ref 2557
Windward Sailing wants 5 crew for Incisor, Corby 45, 14m.
From English Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda to English Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda.
February 2014 to February 2014.
Referred to by many as the Fastnet in the Caribbean, the Caribbean 600 is truly a must do for any keen sailor. Beginning and ending in English Harbour, Antigua, the 600 mile race takes you on an exciting course around 14 islands, providing various different challenges throughout. On Incisor you will be part of a competitive team of like-minded individuals, all keen to place highly but also to have fun doing so! Whilst we will be racing hard and encouraging the best out of you, on Incisor our top priorities are safety, enjoyment and the race - in that order. You will join us a couple of days before the race so that we can provide you with 2 days training out on the water so you can become familiar with Incisor. There is then a great party in the yacht club followed by a final day preparing the boat ready to start the race which we hope to finish in approximately 3 days. The price is 1295 GBP per person. We will train you to be confident in all aspects of sailing Incisor, from work on the fore deck to helming. Whilst we will always be on hand, we try and allow you to do as much as you can. The more you put in, the more you will get out of the experience. We will be sailing as best we can 24 hours a day and will enter into a watch system for this.
