Helsal 3 Pty Ltd wants 10 crew for Helsal 3, Adams 20, 20m.

From Sydney Australia , Australia to Hobart Tasmania , Australia.

December 2017 to December 2017.

The Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is one of the worlds pre-eminent and toughest sailing races. Beginning in Sydney Harbour awash with a competing boats jostling for a position at one of three start lines and hundreds of spectator fleet, the start is one of the most exciting sporting events of any. The race typically takes 3-5 days for the fleet to finish. Withdrawals are common due to damage, injury or conditions. Normally boats can expect 4-5 weather changes during the race including brilliant sailing with a following wind and rough rides into strong southerlies. Bass Strait is always unpredictable and any sense of relief at a successful crossing is tempered by the knowledge that there is still a third of the race to go down the coast of Tasmania, around Tasman Island, across the aptly named Storm Bay and finally up the Derwent to a rousing reception at Constitution Dock in Hobart. It is mandatory for all crew aboard Helsal 3 to undertake the training program in the week before Christmas as well as fulfil minimum obligations for the BSW series races. Subject to completing the rigorous safety and training program and meeting all crewing requirements the major sponsorship will entitle the sponsor to have two participating crew aboard the S2H. Helsal 3 has now completed twelve (12) S2H races and in the last two years won its handicap division. While no guarantee of a successful completion can be given due to the nature of offshore racing and safety considerations, the completion rate for Helsal 3 is very high in comparison to almost all other categories of yachts in the race.
