[ active ] Pensacola to San Diego via Hawaii United States to United States ref 15984
From Pensacola, FL, United States to San Diego, CA, United States.
November 2027 to May 2028.
Get ready for the blue-water voyage of a lifetime! We are breaking lines from Pensacola, FL in Fall 2027 and heading south for a multi-month, double-ocean bucket-list adventure. This isn't your standard coastal hop—we are skipping the grueling Baja Bash entirely and opting for trade winds, tropical waters, and open ocean. Here is how the epic route breaks down: Leg 1: The Caribbean Warm-Up (Pensacola to Panama) We’ll kick things off by waving goodbye to the Gulf Coast and cruising down through the gorgeous Caribbean. Think beautiful night watches, catching mahi-mahi off the stern, and dialing in our newly upgraded solar and autopilot systems before we hit the big ditch. Leg 2: The Big Crossing (The Panama Canal Transit) Next up is a true sailor's milestone: transiting the Panama Canal! We’ll lock through alongside the giants, wave hello to the Pacific Ocean, and prep the PDQ 36 for the widest stretch of blue on the planet. Leg 3: The Blue-Water Coconut Run (Panama to Hawaii) This is where the magic happens! We’ll catch the legendary Pacific trade winds and point our bows toward paradise. We are talking about roughly 4,500 nautical miles of pure, open-ocean sailing. With Starlink streaming real-time weather data and our brand-new 2026 sails flying high, we will settle into that perfect offshore rhythm all the way to Hawaii. Leg 4: The Home Stretch (Hawaii to San Diego)After soaking up some well-deserved aloha vibes, eating plenty of poke, and resting our sea legs, it’s time for the grand finale! We’ll cast off from Hawaii and head north to loop around the legendary North Pacific High. Once we catch those fresh, prevailing westerlies, we’ll turn right and enjoy an exhilarating, downhill sleigh ride all the way into San Diego. It’s the perfect, high-reward ending to a truly epic 7,000-nautical-mile double-ocean crossing! Pack your favorite ocean recipes, bring your best playlist, and let's go cross some oceans!

Crew roles: The Leader of the Pack: Our Passage Skipper While I’m a hands-on, active boat owner (and have already tested this cat offshore in the Regatta al Sol), my absolute, number-one requirement is finding an ocean-tested, safety-first Skipper to take the wheel. I am looking for a Captain who loves making smart weather calls, handles the big decisions with a cool head, and takes full responsibility for getting us and the boat across two oceans safely. You’ll have ultimate command authority onboard—we want a true leader who prioritizes safety but knows how to keep the crew smiling! The Rest of the Dream Team: Watch Captains & Deckhands For the rest of our crew slots, we aren't looking for robotic marine resumes—we want awesome humans! We are building a fun, positive, and tight-knit team to share this epic 7,000-mile Pacific loop. Here is what it takes to join the squad: The Attitude: Easygoing, zero-drama, and always ready to laugh. If you have a "how can I help?" mindset, you'll fit right in. Pitching In: We sail as a family! Everyone onboard shares the love, which means cheerfully jumping in on night watches, cooking up a storm in the galley, and helping keep our pocket cat shipshape. The Vibe: This is a strictly non-smoking, fresh-air-only boat. We are out here to catch some mahi-mahi, listen to great music under incredible starlight, look out for each other, and collect memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a legendary offshore adventure on a Starlink-equipped, solar-powered catamaran, we want to hear from you!
