[ Archived ] Ocean crossing St Lucia to the Chesapeake Saint Lucia to United States ref 7489

Jim Audley wants 2 crew for Kristina, Tartan 37, 11m.

From Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia to Annapolis, Md, United States.

April 2017 to April 2017.

Kristina will be completing a 5 year cruise of the Atlantic and the Med. This voyage is the final leg to bring her back to the point of beginning, the Chesapeake Bay. We will sail from St Lucia to the BVIs and then go direct to the Chesapeake Bay. My ideal crew would be sailing couple, who have experience chartering and would like to experience sailing in the Caribbean, make a 10 day open ocean crossing and then cruise up the Chesapeake. Kristina will be sailing from St Lucia on April 1, 2017 and will arrive not later than May 1, 2017 at Annapolis, Md. I have allowed time to enjoy the sights and wait for weather windows if needed. There should be time to explore BVIs and the Chesapeake Bay along the way. I will take care of the technical side of things, but will be happy to share anything you want to know about Kristina.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 3

Crew roles: We will all share duties on board - Provisioning, cooking, cleaning, maintaining equipment, watch standing, etc. I will be responsible for navigation, communications and any technical aspects of the boat's systems. But I will share these duties with you if you are interested and qualified. If you have talents in the Galley, I would love to give you more responsibility in that area as cooking is an effort for me. In exchange, I would handle more of the comms, weather and Nav myself. Regarding cost sharing, I will pay for anything associated with the boat's operation, fuel, dockage fees, customs, etc. I would like us to share the cost of food equally. Entertainment ashore is up to each individual. The crew will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the boat.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
