Crew roles: With the current COVID laws constantly changing from Country to Country it is important that Covid vaccinations and entry visas are current for each country. The crew will pay their own covid isolation and clearance costs as well as travel to and from the boat and share in the costs of provisioning but the Captain pays for fuel and boat repairs. Crew with covid vaccinations will assist with customs and biosecurity clearances With the exception leg to Panama, I have designed the route and sea time to be a minimum of two weeks each to allow sea time to qualify as isolation time for COVID for those countries who allow this. Crew members will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the journey including solo watch periods, cooking, cleaning, sailing, and maintaining the boat and preference may be given to those who have multiple skill sets on ocean-going passages. Whilst I am a confident navigator and sailor having 4 boats of our own back in NZ and sailed Kiwi for 6 years now completing 5,000 plus miles across the Mediterranean and around Greek islands I will be looking to work with those competent at diesel mechanics and electronics, those with sail mending and general maintenance skills and someone who will look after provisioning, meal planning, and cooking. All crew are expected to take part in all aspects of the journey and be prepared to share and learn from each other’s experiences
Money: expenses shared equally
Travel to and from boat: crew pays
