[ Cancelled ] Mediterranean Greece to Gibraltar ref 12111

Trevor Giles wants 3 crew for Kiwi, Nautitech Open 40, m.

From Gouvia Marina, Corfu, Greece to Gibraltar, Gibraltar.

October 2020 to October 2020.

I am looking for crew to assist with a delivery run from Corfu departing 12th October and heading for Gibraltar Expenses for food etc will be paid for by the Captain while onboard during the delivery itself The crew are expected to pay for their own travel costs too and from the ports of call and shore activities. Our route will be weather dependent and we will travel via the Messina straight and may stopover in either Bonifacio on the southern tip of Corsica or Cagliari on the Southern tip of Sardinia. The actual final route will be decided upon once the wind and weather pattern is known. The crew must ensure all visas and inoculations needed to land in any of these ports are current and provide evidence of this prior to being accepted as a crew member for the trip The ideal scenario would be to complete the 1300 nautical mile journey in one run but if weather or maintenance requires, then we have two options to stop off at should we need to. I have estimated a conservative 10 days if we run through in one go but you may need to add another 4 days to your plans should we be held up in one of the ports for weather or maintenance. We are due to then depart Gibraltar after reprovisioning for a run down to the Canary Islands in time for the start of the 2020 ARC Rally. I may have an opportunity for one of the crew to remain with the boat for the entire trip to the Carribean and consideration will be given to those who can offer the team some sailing, maintenance, navigation or galley skills. All crew will gather at the Gouvia Marina on the 12th October ( to be confirmed) whereupon training in the handling of this particular boat and duties will be allocated. After provisioning the boat for the trip I expect to pick a date to depart as soon as a favourable weather pattern exists. This is an ideal mile building opportunity and I look forward to receiving your application stating experience to date
