Crew roles: Crew Responsibilities on a Sailing Voyage As part of the crew, you’ll engage in all aspects of running the yacht: 1. Sail Handling: Hoist, trim, and adjust the sails based on wind conditions. 2. Navigation: Assist with plotting the course and steering the vessel. 3. Watchkeeping: Monitor the surroundings and ensure the yacht’s safety, including during night shifts. 4. Anchor and Mooring: Help with anchoring in bays and docking at ports. 5. Galley Duties: Participate in meal preparation and keep the crew well-fed. 6. Deck Maintenance: Clean the deck, manage ropes, and stow equipment. 7. Safety Procedures: Learn and practice emergency protocols to ensure a safe voyage. This hands-on experience offers you a true taste of life at sea, building teamwork and sailing skills.
