[ active ] Join Us for an Atlantic Crossing with ARC: St. Maarten to Portugal via Bermuda Saint Martin to Portugal ref 15846

wants 2 crew for Copernicus Star, Fountaine Pajot - Isla 40, m.

From , Saint Martin to Lagos, Portugal.

May 2026 to June 2026.

Join us for a true offshore sailing adventure from the Caribbean to Europe. We are Mark and Michelle, and we are seeking two additional crew members to join us for an exceptional offshore passage from St. Maarten to Bermuda and onward across the Atlantic to Portugal as part of ARC Europe 2026. We sail aboard a Fountaine Pajot Isla 40, a comfortable, well-appointed cruising catamaran that combines modern design with the kind of spacious, easy living that makes long-distance sailing especially enjoyable. With its bright interior, roomy cockpit, and thoughtful layout, it offers both comfort underway and a welcoming home at anchor. Outfitted with nearly every available extra, it has proven to be an ideal boat for extended cruising. We have already sailed extensively from Annapolis to Long Island, New York, then south to Fort Lauderdale, across to Bimini, throughout the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and the Caribbean. This next leg is part of a larger continuing voyage and a rare opportunity to take part in a true bluewater crossing to Europe, with the possibility of future passages together in other parts of the world. What makes this opportunity especially appealing is that it combines the experience of sailing aboard a very comfortable and capable catamaran with the added benefits of ARC Europe itself. Sailing as part of the rally offers the camaraderie of a larger fleet, organized activities in port, and the shared experience of making the crossing in company rather than alone. It also brings added structure and reassurance through rally preparation, safety requirements, inspections, and communications support. For crew, this means more than simply joining an Atlantic crossing. It means gaining meaningful offshore miles, watchkeeping experience, hands-on passage making time, and the memorable experience of sailing from the Caribbean to Europe with stops in Bermuda, the Azores, and Portugal. If this opportunity speaks to you, we would be glad to share more about the boat, timing, expectations, and onboard arrangements.
