[ Cancelled ] Great Pacific Race expedition United States to United States ref 12799

Rodney Mayer wants 3 crew for The Galen Diana, Jeanneau 49SO, m.
From Sausalito,California, United States to Honolulu, United States.

This is a unique extended passage from California to Hawaii classified as an expedition of sorts playing a role as a support vessel in connection with "The Great Pacific Race", a row boat race from California to Hawaii. The support team will simply be out on the ocean sailing from the back of the pack to the front of the pack to document the race and render aid only in the event of an emergency. These boats spread out over 300 miles apart therefore a normal sailing pace will exist for the support yacht the during entire period of support. This will be the fourth race "The Galen Diana" has been part of the support team. Crew aboard TGD will experience life at sea without sight of land for up to 40 days. This experience can be invaluable for the right persons who aspire to learn and cope with the challenges of ocean passage making. Training, coaching and instruction will be implemented as needed to develop and improve skills to insure crew safety. Expect to experience all types of weather and conditions that come with weather. This is not a sunset cocktail cruise. This is the real deal and not for the faint hearted.. There are two (2) double berths available for three(3) crew. Ideally a couple in one and a single in the other is best case scenario otherwise plan to share accommodation and rotate or hot bunk during the watch schedule.
