[ active ] Experienced Couple and Teacher for Family Catamaran Adventure (Catana 65) French Polynesia to United States ref 15453

David Pignolet wants 2 crew for Misfit, Catana, m.

From Tahiti, French Polynesia to Newport, United States.

June 2025 to June 2027.

We're a family of four—two parents, our bright and curious 10-year-old daughter and energetic 8-year-old son—sailing the world aboard our Catana 65 performance catamaran. Captain (dad) is an experienced offshore sailor. We're seeking an experienced, upbeat, and low-drama couple to join us as full-time crew and onboard teacher to support our kids online learning (usually a couple of hours per day) Upcoming Itinerary: We'll be sailing from French Polynesia to Tonga, then continuing on to New Zealand for cyclone season. In spring, we’ll return to Tonga and resume our westbound circumnavigation. This is a unique opportunity to explore the South Pacific while becoming part of a tight-knit, adventurous team. We Offer: • A well-equipped, spacious, fast cruising Catana 65 • Spacious double private crew quarters and head • The adventure of a lifetime aboard a high-performance, ocean-proven catamaran. • Onboard expenses included • A chance to explore some of the most remote and beautiful destinations on Earth as part of a tight-knit sailing family. If you're a dynamic duo who thrives in a positive, family-oriented environment and are ready for a unique adventure, we'd love to hear from you.

David is currently based in Tahiti, French Polynesia

You must be unbothered by the occasional chaos of kids, family disagreements, or the noise of everyday life—we’re a loving family, not a silent monastery. We're open to discussing experience, but the Ideal Crew Profile: A well-established, harmonious couple with proven sailing experience and complementary strengths: • One crew member should have a background in education (ideally certified, or with strong teaching/tutoring experience) to support and guide our kids through their online curriculum and foster a thriving, balanced learning environment aboard. • The other crew member should be an experinced sailor technically skilled, with hands-on experience in boat maintenance, systems troubleshooting, and general upkeep of a high-performance cruising catamaran.
