[ active ] Crossing the Bay of Biscay France to Portugal ref 15527

Southern Ocean Company wants 6 crew for Eira, Swan 51, m.
From Lorient, France to Cascais, Portugal.
August 2025 to September 2025.
Autumn come and birds starts emigrating south. After a busy summer in Northern Europe it’s time to wrap it up and head south again. Lorient is a perfect starting point for this leg across the Bay of Biscay with possibilities for high end victualing and, if needed, good service if something needs to be done on the boat. The end of this stretch is Lisbon (Cascais). On the other side of the bay we have A Coruna, a hip Galician city with excellent sea food and attractions like the old Roman lighthouse “Torre de Hercules” making a nice half way stop-over. The crew is expected to be able to take watches and participate in running the boat. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn more about ocean sailing and how to run a boat in offshore conditions. It is good if you already have some experience and spent some time at sea since this is a true blue water leg. The sailing fee includes: Skipper All meals when at sea Foul weather gear for all (no boots) Personal safety gear (lifejackets and PLB:s) Mooring fees, Fuel and gas (all costs for boat)
