From St George´s Harbour, Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, Point Pleasant Marina, Bermuda to Falmouth, Port Pendennis Marina, United Kingdom.

Everything is included in the voyage cost (excluding alcoholic beverage and what you do when you are not onboard). May 16 – June 6-13: Sailing (approx. 2 850 NM): Bermuda – Falmouth, Port Pendennis Marina, England. Note: I have no plans going to Azores, but it will depend on weather and wind conditions. Most skippers would perhaps to stop in the Azores, placed about halfway between Bermuda and Europe. I have chosen not to do so. The reason is simply because the direct route has a great advantage over the route through the Azores: once the prevailing westerly winds have been found they can usually be held for most of the crossing. The passage has been planned so that: -We sail north of 38° N in order to find W or SW winds and a favourable current. Further south we may encounter calms, i.e. the Azores high. -We do not sail north of 40° N in order to avoid ice in early summer, gales and because of colder and wetter conditions. However, weather conditions and sailing is not always that predictable. S/Y JEHANNE will bring a good supply of fuel (in order to motor through calms) and, although there are sailing jackets (no pants) in most sizes, you need to bring clothing for colder and wetter conditions (especially for the second half of the crossing since we will be heading NE, most of the time).
