From Lanzarotte, Spain to Jolly Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda.

The Christmas Caribbean Rally is an exciting new rally crossing the Atlantic starting in Marina Rubicon, Lanzarote on Monday 16th December 2013 and sailing 2850 miles to Jolly Harbour, Antigua in the New Year. Crossing the Atlantic in December is the optimum time; the trade winds are likely to be fully established and the hurricane season is a distant memory. CCR is over the Christmas holiday period, enabling sailors from all walks of life to participate. With Performance Yacht Charter you can relax in the knowledge that the yachts are professionally run and maintained to the highest standard and have a complete inventory of safety equipment including life rafts, EPIRB, Satphone and medical supplies. There will be a commercially endorsed yacht Master Ocean Skipper and a first mate who will help sailors with less experience familiarise themselves with the yacht prior to departure. The PYC package for the Caribbean Christmas Rally is inclusive of race entry, food, crew shirts, training and all pre rally parties.

Crew roles: We prefer crew to have experienced some offshore sailing so they know what to expect but you do not need to be an expert. That is why there are 2 professional sailors aboard enabling you to enjoy the experience confident that you are in safe hands. The First Mate will organise the food which is alway of high quality on our yachts (you can read about this in our blogs and menu plans on the website). All crew will be fully involved in sailing the yacht, helping, trimming sails and navigation. We are looking for crew who want to pay to sail across the Atlantic and understand the value of a well maintain fully prepared yacht with professional crew.
