[ Archived ] Caribbean and ARC Europe Antigua & Barbuda to France ref 3191

Peter Harris wants 4 crew for Free Spirit, Island Packet 485, 15m.

From Jolly Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda to Port Grimaud, France.

January 2015 to June 2015.

Free Spirit crossed the Atlantic with the ARC in 2013. Currently she is out of the water in Antigua for the hurricane season. We plan to pick her up mid-January for a leisurely sail north to the British Virgin Islands visiting most of the islands en route. ARC Europe leaves Nanny Cay on Tortola 9th May heading for Bermuda and a rendezvous with a another group departing from Portsmouth on the USA Eastern seaboard at the same time. The whole fleet then departs St George's, Bermuda on 20 May for the Azores. On leaving the Azores Free Spirit will split from the rest of the fleet heading for the Strait of Gibraltar and France. For sailing in the Caribbean we are looking for one person, or possibly a couple, to join us (husband and wife team). No experience necessary but willingness to take instructions and learn are essential. For the Atlantic crossing we require 4 crew to make up a team of 6. The individual(s) sailing with us in the Caribbean might be included if desired. We are looking for at least 2 experienced sailors for watch-leader roles but previous Ocean crossing is not essential.
