Just one space left on this skippered adventure sailing holiday. 16th to 27th August £1450 GBP Weave your way through islands and navigate intricate passages on this route south from the Arctic. Moor in picturesque fishing villages and explore the beautiful islands of Arctic Norway with plenty of opportunity to add miles to your log book as well. To do this we combine short days sailing amongst the islands and fjords of Arctic Norway with a 36 hour offshore passage across the Norwegian sea towards Kristiansund. We make landfall at the group of islands north east of Kristiansund and spend the last 2 days inter island cruising again. This is the first leg of our trip home to UK after our summer season sailing in the Lofoten Islands. We cannot predict the weather so we cannot name where we will stop but our plan will be to sail 20/40 nm each day. The Inner lead between Bodo and Vega is well protected from the Atlantic and provides a fantastic opportunity to explore amongst the many islands and fjords visiting beautiful anchorages and old fishing ports. We’ve also increased the length of this trip this year by adding a day to give us the opportunity to sneak away from the inner lead and explore further. Once south of the island of Vega, the islands spread out and here we will take Vegafjord and the offshore and more direct route for the 150 nm sail towards the island of Hitra. Here we will find a choice of anchorages to suit every wind direction. Southwestwards from Hitra we will once again follow the inner lead to Kristiansund. Like Bodo, Kristiansund has been chosen as the crew change port because of the ease of transport by plane, train and bus from Oslo. The Hurtigruten boat service also stops here.
