Michael Lahrkamp wants 1 crew for ARRIBA, Beneteau First 40, 12.24m.

From Barcelona, Spain to Las Palmas, Canary Islands.

October 2015 to October 2015.

The boat is a 2011 Beneteau First 40, fully equipped with the usual plus 12 person Solas life raft, chart plotter, autopilot, AIS (class B) and Sat phone. Currently in Barcelona, Spain and expected to be leaving for Canary Islands mid September. Owner (myself) has room for 1 crew that would like to experience ocean sailing (own cabin). The distance to be covered will be about 1,000nm with overnite sail. We sail according to weather, not a schedule. This is in preparation for the 2015 ARC+ and crew may be invited to join in that if interested.

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 4

Crew roles: Crew should get along with others, understand that there always more that can be learned, be familiar with night sailing, solo watches, following a course, read a chart, be proficient with sail handling and trimming, cooking and minding the boat while underway. The trip has all onboard expenses paid. All travel to and from the boat and all land based expenses - restaurants, bar, special foods will be paid for by crew.
