[ Archived ] Atlantic Crossing (same time as ARC) but from Tenerife Canary Islands to Saint Lucia ref 10309

Dirk Owerfeldt wants 1 crew for ORANGE, Lagoon 450, m.

From Tenneriffe - Port San Miguel, Canary Islands to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

November 2018 to December 2018.

We will cross the Atlantic from Canarian Islands to the Caribbean in late November. We do not participate at the ARC, but will go around the same date. We are looking for an experienced sailor (at least some 1000s of ocean miles, ideally at least one ocean crossing) who will join the already existing crew of 4 (owner & 3 friends). This is no commerical trip. I am a private person doing this with friends. My wife & 4 months old son will fly and meet us in Saint Lucia. Please note that we are departing from Tennerife (Port is San Miguel) which is just 10 minutes by taxi away from airport TFS.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Captain

Sailing with a Rally: None

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 5

Crew roles: Looking for 1 or 2 persons, a female crew member would be great cause we have already Miriam on board (a cool kite-surfer girl) and it would fit best to put another woman in her cabin. Because of health issues two persons canceled, so that we have now 2 places free on the boat. We are the owner / skipper living on the boat and a friend. Both with some sailing experience but none of us did the crossing before. We are all very easy and relaxed and all wind or kitesurfers and know the wind & sea & waves since our childhood from this sports. The boat is brand new and fully equippied including Li-Ion-Batteries of 1.200 AH and 7 big solar panels (enough to run watermaker, air conditioning & dive compressor from batteries).

Money: daily contribution from crew $20

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
