[ Cancelled ] Atlantic Crossing – ARC/ARC+ Canary Islands to Saint Lucia ref 2686

Vaughn Cooper wants 2 crew for Aislado, Hallberg Rassy, 14.78m.

From Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

November 2014 to December 2014.

A successful candidate will need to show initiative, be easy going and enjoy getting involved and having fun - you don't need to have had a lot of sailing experience, but if that's the case wanting to learn new things is a prerequisite. You will need to have good interpersonal relationship skills and be able to interact with other crew (my wife (33 years old, speaks Bulgarian and English, meteorologist), our four year old daughter (speaks English and Bulgarian), a male friend who has 5 years sailing experience aboard his own Hallberg Rassy (35, Colombian, living in Spain, speaks Spanish and English, cinematographer, has a partner) and me (31, speaks English, professional background in law, science and IT). We're looking for one or two people (one person, a couple, or two singles) who is/are willing to be part of an adventure (not just looking to be onboard to be on holiday). You will need to get involved in every day life onboard and be part of the action/fun. There are options as to when/where successful candidate(s) could join and leave the boat as we are sailing from Greece (first heading west in the Med), joining the ARC/ARC+ in Las Palmas in November and after the Atlantic and a bit of time in the Caribs we'll set sail across the Pacific (March 2015) via Galapagos, Marquesas, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji and New Caledonia, to our final destination - New Zealand. Crew will be expected to provide their own suitable wet-weather gear and a Cat1 life-jacket (with harness attachment and crotch strap). Passage related costs (i.e. fuel, marina fees, food, communications etc) will be shared equally between those onboard (excluding 4yr old Zara). Crew will need to pay their own travel and personal expenses. If you're interested, please send me an email with some details about yourself, interests, experience etc. [email protected] / [email protected].
