[ closed ] Atlantic Crossing South Africa to Brazil ref 12005

Mike Schaaf wants 1 crew for Chao Lay, Bavaria 50, m.

From Cape Town, South Africa to Salvador, Brazil.

August 2020 to October 2020.

I am looking for crew for our upcoming Atlantic crossing with the World ARC 2019-20. We will be leaving Cape Town on January 8. There will be a stop in Namibia as well as St Helena. Chao Lay is a well appointed Bavaria 50, built for comfort not for speed. You will have your own private cabin with head. I need 1 more crew for this crossing. There will be a total of only 3 people on board. We do 4 hour watches, so you'll have 4 on and 8 off. Non smokers only. You would be responsible for your own travel expenses to and from the boat. Crew must contribute $20 per day for provisions. This is not a race. We prefer easy, comfortable, cruising. If you like to trim sails and go fast, this is not the boat for you. We will be making the passage together with 17 other Rally boats. You'll have to arrive in Cape Town no later than January 8, 2020. The passage to St Helena will take approximately 12 days. St Helena to Brazil will be an approximate 16 day crossing.
