From Fair Haven, New Jersey, United States to Jacksonville, Florida, United States.

I am purchasing a 1978 27 foot Hunter sailboat with a Yanmar diesel inboard. The boat has been re-fitted in the not too distant past, so it is in good condition. My only experience with boats was being on board ship when I was in the Marine Corps. I have done an online boater's education course for which I have a certificate, so I do have some familiarity with boating safety and so forth. But it's one thing to watch a vide of something and another to actually do it. The boat is in Fair Haven, New Jersey, and I live near Atlanta, so I plan to take the boat down the Atlantic coast to a marina at or near Jacksonville, FL, to then be able to do some Caribbean voyages in the future. I am looking for up to 2 others to join me, with at least one of the persons being an experienced sailor who can teach me some things and help me sail this boat down the coast. There will be no cost for the crew. If you are interested and December doesn't work for you, I can keep the boat in storage in New Jersey and postpone until some time in 2017.
