Ben Mo wants 2 crew for Curlew, Kelsall Lima 34 catamaran, 10.5m.
From , United Kingdom to , Martinique.
September 2018 to June 2019.
Leaving UK mid-late September bound for the Algarve, Portugal. Sailing to Canaries in October or November. On to Caribbean January. This trip is a winter migration, it's for fun and travel not work! ie, this i not a payed opportunity requiring professional crew nor is it a charter where I seek to earn from you. It's a share cost situation. The cost should be pretty small, mainly food, very little fuel as I hardly use the engine, cheap mooring as I usually anchor. If I find the right crew the itinerary is also flexible and open to discussion. I'm not just looking for someone to piggyback on my trip, you are allowed to have opinions!
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): Watch-leader
Sailing with a Rally: Independent
I'm looking for (gender): either
Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk
Smoking on board: smoking allowed
Total people on board: 4
Crew roles: Curlew is easy to sail and can be handled by 1 competent person at most times. 2 if less experienced or the goings tough. Would be great to have crew who can steer to the compass and also a decent course on a given point of sail (best to windward, downwind without gybing) However, this stuff is not rocket science and, if you're less experienced, can be taught. If you are less experienced would be a bonus if you're an awesome cook! I like chilled out, friendly, happy go lucky people who have a sense of adventure. Musicians or rock climbers are extra welcome ;)
Money: expenses shared equally
Travel to and from boat: crew pays
