[ Archived ] ARC Racing Division – Charter places available to Saint Lucia ref 3188

Kurt Lillywhite wants 4 crew for Aglaia, HYS Ocean Phoenix 77, 23m.

From Las Palmas, to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

November 2014 to December 2014.

Aglaia is stripping down and going into racing mode for the 2014 ARC. Leaving Gran Canaria on the 23rd of November and racing 2800 miles to arrive between 12 and 16 days later in St Lucia. Aglaia is a custom 77 foot Carbon Kevlar cruiser racer, built to cross oceans at speed and in comfort. For the 2014 ARC it’s time to show everyone just how fast she really is when out of luxury cruising mode. From her lightweight composite construction to her carbon taffeta sails and huge North 3DL carbon asymmetric she is built to be fast and exciting. The ARC provides the perfect conditions to see just how fast against a class that includes yachts like the mighty Leopard of London and the Volvo 70 Monster Project that comes from the same design table of Rob Humphries. This is your chance to challenge yourself, learn new skills, make some new lifelong friends and gain new experiences with an unmatched sense of achievement as well as proving to yourself that anything is possible! Your skipper has previously finished 3rd in the ARC and has a goal, with your help, to top this position. Crossing the Atlantic under sail will provide memories that will last a lifetime! Charter places are available from £4750/€5950

We take all levels of ability but please keep in mind we are racing across so you need to have a degree of personal fitness and be ready to get stuck in to get the best out of the boat at all times on the race across. Thank you for the CV's for paid or free places on the yacht but we already have a strong long term permanent crew aboard.
