First the ARC requires 2 onboard…That being said really getting lonely watching sunsets and sunrises with no one to share or talk too, meeting and entertaining other cruisers and the all-important boat projects…maintaining Rapture in a safe sailing condition. The cruising community is unique in many ways...most notable is the friendly, helpful and open attitude shared by all. Instant friends can be made in an anchorage so different than land based living. This cruise across the Atlantic will for me and hopefully you will be a beginning to explore the Mediterranean. I’ve mentioned previously that I usually enjoy female company though not mandatory…Have found that women are usually less trouble and a lot more enjoyable to be around..

Crew roles: As for duties…sailing a 40 ft boat across the ocean requires each to share what their best at or willing to learn. For me I’m always open to new ideas and learning, don’t yell commands or demean as I’m comfortable sailing solo though I enjoy showing the ropes and seeing the joy when they easily handle Rapture under sail…I propose a partnership in duties….sharing all from fun to difficult jobs on board. I’m sailing on a budget…so I do ask to help with provisions and any cost related to you though I don’t see this to be much.
