[ active ] ARC 2025 Spain to Saint Lucia ref 15239
Florian Krueger wants 5 crew for The Big Easy, Fountaine Pajot Belize43, m.
From Almerimar, Spain to Rodney Bay Marina, Saint Lucia.
November 2025 to December 2024.
We are looking to complement the existing crew of 4 with another 4 interested participants. We will be starting in Southern Spain by the beginning of November, with the objective to arrive in the Canaries well in advance of the start date of the ARC, in order to take part in all the fun and games on offer ;-) Following the crossing there will be an opportunity for a couple of folks to stay on board and to explore the Caribbean all the way up to Cuba where we intend to spend New Year, before heading on to the Bahamas. We will have unlimited Starlink on board, solar and a watermaker to be able to live almost like at home. There is no urgent requirement regarding sailing skills, but we would appreciate it, if people do not get seasick, or are ok with dealing with the level of seasickness that they are likely to encounter. The boat will be an omnivore boat and whilst we try to have a healthy diet, we are not able to specifically cater for vegans. That being said we will support any dietary requirements as much as possible. Tolerance is key to a well working crew and therefore drinking and smoking in moderation is allowed, as long as it does not negatively impact others, or becomes a safety concern. (No drinking short before, or on watch, obviously) The main objective is to arrive safely, then to have fun and lastly not to come in last. In that order.
