From Las Palmas, United Kingdom to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

We are looking for a crew member (or a sailing couple) with ocean experience (ideally Ocean Yachtmaster). We are a husband and wife team. Phil has sailed most of us life (has Yachtmaster theory, coastal skipper, VHF, Diesel etc) and Emma has learned the ropes quickly in the last few years (she has day skipper, but has proved very adept at running the foredeck). We've enjoyed some racing during last season, but for the ARC we plan to cruise; optimising for comfort and safety, but we will be pushing for a fair turn of speed. The current crew consists of ourselves, an old friend and crew mate who is a retired doctor, and our 16 year old son who is an experienced crew member with day skipper qualifications. You'd have your own cabin and double bed, and we'd be open to a sailing couple joining us. Gentoo is luxuriously appointed, and we like to sail in comfort and style. You will eat and drink well. We hope you will enjoy yourself and make great memories as we blast towards St Lucia. You will be responsible for getting to the boat and onwards from St Lucia, but we will cover all costs during the voyage. Would be ideal if you could also join us for the Lisbon to Canaries 500 Nm qualifier which will probably be mid to late September.
