[ closed ] ARC+ 2018 Canary Islands to Saint Lucia ref 9317

Andy Budgen wants 1 crew for The Project, Sigma 38, 12m.

From Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

January 2018 to January 2018.

I'm an experienced Ocean Master with a number of crossings on a 70ft Racing Yacht as skipper, both racing and delivering. This will be a fun trans-Atlantic trip with a nice group of people. We will be taking the ARC+ route and stopping to explore the Cape Verde islands for a few days on the way. The sigma 38 is in absolute tip top condition having been refitted over the last 15 years and is comfortable and safe. We will be looking to push the boat quite hard, as we are racers, as long as we feel that we are capable.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-hot bunk

Smoking on board: smoking allowed

Total people on board: 6

Crew roles: The crew can get involved with all aspects of this sort of trip. I run a fairly laid back approach to crossings and there will be very capable sailors on board. The idea is to enjoy ourselves and have a safe crossing. I am not really concerned about sailing standards and will consider anyone from beginners to experts. I have considerable experience taking beginner sailors on this sort of trip and will be very happy to teach you along the way! The cost will be £2,500 for the trip.

Money: voyage cost $2500

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
