[ Full ] ARC 2013 Racing Division Spain to Saint Lucia ref 1988

Windward Sailing wants 3 crew for Incisor, Corby 45, 14m.

From Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

November 2013 to December 2013.

http://www.windwardsailing.co.uk/racing/arc_2013 Only 3 spaces remaining! Having enjoyed competing in 7 hugely successful ARCs since 2003 we are planning once again to take part in the ARC on 24th November 2013. For the last 22 years Windward Sailing has successfully competed in numerous offshore races including the famous Fastnet race and of course the ARC. We take great care to gather together like-minded sailors who not only want to experience sailing on fast modern race yachts but also want to go that bit further and win. Over the years we have campaigned our race yachts and have won numerous trophies. This has been achieved with individual sailors on board, many with little or no experience of competitive sailing. The 2013 race on Incisor will be very exciting and with her exceptional all-round sailing pedigree could be the yacht to win the racing division again this year. Despite an emphasis on racing, the number one priority is to have a fun, safe and fast Atlantic crossing. The course has remained the same for many years and follows the same trade winds that Christopher Columbus sailed by many centuries ago. Luckily nowadays the yachts are more technologically advanced and have all the modern navigation and weather equipment to make the crossing as efficient, safe and enjoyable as it is possible to be. On a boat like Incisor with her design and full compliment of sails there will be no problems making the most of the wind and we'll be on the beach in St. Lucia in just 12-14 days! The cost of the trip is £2495 (GBP) and the price listed in dollars is an approximate price based on the 10 June 2013 exchange rate. Crew roles: We are looking for enthusiastic and committed sailors of all experience levels. Those with lower levels of experience needn't worry as we will provide you with full training. That being said, we will also welcome those with experience and sailing knowledge. Training includes not only a Solent based training weekend but we also invite you to join us as we deliver Incisor from Cowes, Isle of Wight to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria ready to begin the race. This will be an excellent opportunity to get to know your fellow crew members as well as expanding your sailing experience whilst becoming familiar with Incisor and more than ready to cross the Atlantic.
