antastic opportunity to obtain significant mileage, seatime and experience towards RYA Yachtmaster pre-requisite in one hit - sailing from Antigua to Azores.Journey expected to take 15 days and cover 2500+ miles. Rotating crew responsibilities inc. time as acting skipper. YM theory slides will be run each day on 30 inch screen covering diff. topics to refresh and apply knowledge in practice. This is not a RYA training course however, but opp. to obtain mileage and experience with likeminded individuals in a challenging but rewarding offshore leg. Our destination in the Azores will be Ponta Delgada in order to link up with the Ryanair flight hub with flights as low as £35 back to the UK. The yacht is fully equipped, has a watermaker, satellite coms, generator (240 volts), inner forestay & staysail and inner mast track set up for storm sails which we will be practising in drills. Latest extensive safety gear with safety the priority at ll times. Shared costs amount to under £30 pd.
