From Kiel, Germany to Cherbourg, France.
to April 2023.
This eleven day trip is offering some inspiring sightseeing, a few longer offshore passages, an interesting mix of coolness and solitude, transforming into a continental buzz and cuisine. This leg is partly proper offshore sailing with watches, involving the whole crew running the boat. After driving through the Kiel Canal we head out on the North Sea. Landfall could happen in Ijmuiden (Close to Amsterdam), Scheveningen (practically Den Haag) or maybe Oostende (Belgium). During our passage we have to exercise caution because the amount of traffic and navigational challenges along the way. The crew will be introduced to the use of AIS, Radar and other navigational devices along the way. Our final destination is Cherbourg, with excellent services and easy access to air travel through comfortable transport options from location to airports. This trip is perfect for someone looking for an own project or boat to run. The skipper is happy to share his experiences and knowledge of offshore sailing and yachts. We are used to sail training through our Sailing Academy programs and ready to give you a hands on tutorial in boat handling, make you comfortable with navigation and safety. Voyage cost covers full board when at sea and all costs for boat and personal safety equipment, foulies, bedding etc

Crew roles: We are looking for relaxed individuals who enjoy outdoors and life at sea. There is going to be plenty of stop-overs along the way but some "overnighters" as well that suggest that it would be good if you have been on a sailing boat before. We are happy to teach you the tricks and, in turn, give the more experienced responsibility as leaders of watch etc.
