Cherbourg to Lisbon (Cascais) is a epic stretch including rounding the Ushant, passing the Cap Finisterre and crossing the Bay of Biscay. It includes lots of dramatic and historic landmarks for seafarers since centuries. After passing the North Western point of the Iberian Peninsula, we should expect some decent trades to take us all the way to Lisbon. Because of the time of year the weather should favor and we try to do as many stopovers as we can along the way! This is a true blue water leg with all the proper watch rota procedures and high seas drills. If you plan to crew on a blue water craft or maybe even taking a yacht of your own long distance, this is the perfect opportunity to learn. Possible stop-overs: Roscoff - Brest – La Coruna – Spanish Rias – Porto – Lisbon Voyage cost covers full board when at sea and all costs for boat and personal safety equipment, foulies, bedding etc

Crew roles: How does the, Ushant, Cape Finisterre or the beautiful coast of Brittany sound? They are all classic landmarks and focal points on this trip. As we are crossing some more demanding stretches like the Bay of Biscay and we hope you have some sailing experience. This voyage is going to involve everyone in running the boat. But no need to worry, we are happy to teach you necessary skills so that you can call yourself a blue water sailor by the time we arrive to Lisbon. We will most likely park up in Cascais next to Lisbon.
