Sailing Crew / Teaching Help Wanted We are looking for two experienced sailors (one with teaching / tutoring experience) to join us for the remainder of our World ARC adventure around the world. We sail a well-equipped 2023 Hallberg-Rassy 57 crewed by my wife and I and our 13 year old son. Since taking delivery of the boat in Sweden, we have sailed over 16,000 miles together. Our sailing roles are unpaid – we pay for all food and boat operating costs while onboard and crew is responsible for travel to/from the boat and all shoreside meal and entertainment costs. You will stand solo night watches and help out with cooking, cleaning, boat work as needed. Our teaching role is paid – we pay a reasonable rate for 10 - 15 hours per week of time spent working with our son. We will be using a preexisting structured curriculum so your time will be focused on coaching, stimulating and challenging your student to help him develop his academic, writing and critical thinking skills. In addition, you will stand solo night watches and help out with cooking, cleaning, boat work as needed on roughly the same basis as our other, uncompensated crew member. Both crew must have offshore sailing experience, preferably on yachts in the 50+ foot (16m+) range. We are looking for one or two people to join either for specific segments or for the remainder of our trip. The segments are: -- Fiji - Darwin. 2 July - 6 September. 3300nm with cruising / stops in Vanatu, Great Barrier Reef and Coastal Australia -- Darwin - Cape Town. 6 September - early December. 6600nm with stops in Lombok, Indonesia, Christmas Island, Cocos, Mauritius, Reunion -- Cape Town - Grenada. 7 January - 23 March. 6000 nm with stops in Namibia, St. Helena, Recife, Cabelelo The full itinerary is posted at the World ARC website.
