From Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.

December 2017 to January 2018.

I am looking for one or two crew to accompany me from the Balearics down to the Canaries and also 2 crew for on an Atlantic crossing this December 2017. At least one of these crew should be plenty experienced with some offshore experience. The other crew member should at least be comfortable being a watch leader. I am looking for friendly relaxed individuals aged 25 to 60 years, who don’t mind getting their hands dirty and can work as part of a team. I speak French English and Spanish but would prefer to speak in English on board. I prefer to eat vegetarian / pescarian, but don’t mind occasional meat. Myself and my partner Maia have been sailing from Greece since June 2017 and are now headed to the Balearics, where she will leave the boat for work commitments. Sailing down from the Balearics towards Gibraltar and on to the Canaries, I am looking for crew who could ideally share part or all of that journey with me as a way of getting to know each other in advance of an ocean crossing. If I cannot find crew with such a long committment, I will also consider to take crew for separate legs, and find separate crew for the Atlantic crossing from the Canaries. During the crossing, I hope to stop for some days in Cape Verde to experience the islands and refuel etc, so we will not be rushing. I hope to arrive in St Lucia in early-mid January. I have been sailing since a child, with plenty of diverse crewing experience int he UK France Spain and the Med, two Biscay crossings and an Atlantic crossing, including one 1800 mile yacht delivery. I have been skippering my own boat in the last four years, covering 3500 miles..

Crew roles: All of us will share the regular boat duties equally: cooking, cleaning, helming, marking position in the log and on the chart. We will share the cost of food and provisions for the voyage.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
