July 2020 to December 2020.

Crew who wish to learn sailing skills are encouraged to join us. We will give you practical boat management skills to help you get work on cruising boats. Ideally you should be in great health, agile and be comfortable in the water, or ready to learn water skills. Living in our tiny floating home does require some attention to your surroundings and the others living with you. Living in close quarters is fun and of course very interactive. Flexibility, consideration, and respect for personal space is key. There is always lots to do, or, as little as you like. It is a time of complete contrast to your normal activities. It’s exhilarating! Some info: - Your safety is our #1 priority. - Transferable skills. Learn to steer, navigate, sail and manage living on our sailboat. - Bring a friend to travel with and share the fun. - Max four guests are a good number, plus Brendan and John for a total of six. - Bring clothing for the tropics – limit your luggage to carry-ons. We have towels, linen, pillows. - Water activities are always on – bring your mask and snorkel, we have plenty of fins. Snorkelling, diving, and fishing happens at any time, plus we are swim instructors. -Walking is a great way to explore local cultures - bring walking shoes - Bring your favourite devices, we have usb charging plus internet most places. - Advise us of your dietary requirements. - Provisioning, food preparation and cooking are enjoyable – healthy food for healthy appetites! - There is one shower in the head plus one on the transom. are two H&C showers on board, a private washroom and air conditioning. - Obtain travel, accident and sickness insurance. Ensure your passport is valid for 6 months past the final destination. Visa may be necessary. - Contribution is $50cad (or equal) per day per person to cover the food moorings and fuel. Extras are travelling to the boat, eating out and alcohol. Duty free is good. Itinerary 2020 July to early August : Ocean passage New Zealand to Niue: sail to Beveridge Reef for marine and whale research. Early August : Ocean passage Niue to Haapai Tonga August: Cruising Tonga.
