Description

Uhuru is an Outremer 51. https://catamaran-outremer.com/en/catamarans/outremer-51/ Uhuru is swahili for Freedom. Quenda Uhuru means to travel free of care. The owner (me) was born in Kenya. She is the 3 cabin version with a carbon rig .We love her. She is a fast passage maker but she is also a safe passage maker. These boats are designed to sail around the world. We have seen some "weather" in her and have complete trust in her systems , and we keep them well maintained and we have a full compliment of safety gear. We are equipped for blue water cruising.

Additional details

The two co-skippers are Justin (see my profile ) and Jackie. Jackie is an MD and a skilled physician. She has over 1500 miles on Uhuru. Justin has over 7000 miles on Uhuru.
