Description

My boat is a well renowned Shannon 51 foot Ketch. The Center Cockpit has a Hard Dodger with thick pane Windows for storm protection and both forward and aft helm steering. The list of new equipment, repairs and back-up systems is too extensive to write here...but an excerpt includes a new 110 HP Yanmar engine, Westerbeke 7.5kw generator, all new Garmin navigation technology, new sails, whisker pole, down furler for Asym spinaker, electric headsail furler, electric main furler, electric bow thruster, electric windless, water maker, heating and air conditioning throughout boat, cockpit canvas, upholstery, rigging, chain plates, dinghy, outboard engine, plumbing, refrigeration and freezer, 2 anchors (87lb Rocna is primary), new rode, heads, from water-line up (including topside and cockpit) all new Awlgrip paint and non skid, 10 AGM's with solar charging, etc. The forward cabin will accommodate 1 to 2 crew (if 2 I expect they would be a couple..it is a large V-Berth), with its own separate head with sink and a separate stand-up shower. There is a large 2 sofa seating salon/dinning area, a full pantry, full galley, large freezer and separate frig, navigation station, walk-in engine room and aft captains quarters with its own head and shower. Grill on aft deck. 4 person 2021 certified emergency right sizing raft, emergency suits and supplies. When more crew are added, I add a secondcertified raft.

Center Cockpit. All Lines lead to Cockpit. In mast furlers for Main (electric) and Mizzen. The Staysail, Genoa and Spinaker are all on furlers as well. The headsail has its own electric furler. Aft Helm is cable Steering. The Forward Helm interfaces with 1) a manual hydraulic steering arm and also has 2) a separate Garmin Auto Pilot Hydraulic Steering arm. There is also an emergency Tiller. Garmin equipment includes: Nemea 2000, Fantom 24 with Doppler Radar, 2 Chartplotters (1 salon and 1 cockpit) with their own GPS, Wind Instruments, Auto Pilot, Sonar, AIS (send and recieve) Other: iCom VHF, Icom SSB, Fusion Stereo w/Bluetooth, and TV.
