Description

Spray of Wight was built at the International Boat Building Training College in Lowestoft, launched in 1996. She is iroko on oak and iroko frames, and a close replica to Joshua Slocum's original Spray. Being a gaff riiged yawl there are plenty of sails to play with - and with no winches there is always enough to keep us all hard at work!

Additional details

Spray has a wide beam which she carries well forward which makes fo a cavernous space below. The large spacious saloon is a great place to relax when onboard at anchor; the two pilot berths outboard of the saloon bench seats are the most popular berths on board! Ahead of the saloon is the galley, with a generous head compartment to port. Two twin cabins forward complete the sleeping quarters. Her wooden interior makes for an extremely comfortable homely boat both in port and at sea.
