Description

The boat was completed in 2021. The 45 is JPK's flagship cruising boat, and 'Sirene' has been tweaked to improve sailing performance (carbon mast, deeper keel etc) and is equiped for racing as well as cruising. The boat has 2 aft cabins, a main cabin and a forward cabin, 2 showers & toilets and can sleep 6 people in comfort. We've sailed the boat ~ 2500 miles to date including the Middle Sea race. The boat is powerful and fast yet is very easy to helm with twin rudders providing excellent control. Top speed to date is 19 knots with upside pontential! We will sailing in 'cruise mode' with a spray dodger, bimini and with furling sails (jib & staysail). The autopilot can steer the boat under most circumstances, so the on-watch crew can focus on providing a lookout and monitoring shipping on AIS.

Additional details

We (my son & I) are in Tunisia, planning to leave ~ 20th November, heading for the Suez canal. We will stop in Greece for a while if we can get a visa extension, otherwise will go to Eygpt. After transitting the canal, we plan to cruise in the northern part of the Red Sea, bofore heading for the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Australia (Fremantle).
