Description

The Boat; it's a First 40.7 called "Playing Around" which is fully set up for offshore racing, and has had the big two mods needed for these boats - it has a carbon rudder and has had the keel matrix re-bonded and strengthened.  She is a strong and fast boat fully kitted out with one season old race sails and five spinnakers and assymetrics...  The Ethos; the atmosphere on the boat is supportive, fairly laid back but absolutely on it when we race.  It's a rule on our boat that we don't shout, we encourage but we also recognise that we all want to sail the best we can and be as competitive as possible.  It's a good fun boat, for all that - and we can pretty much guarantee a good laugh (and bad jokes) on deliveries and in the quieter stretches of races!
