Description

Mr X is a comfortable cruiser/racer fitted with all the safety features you would expect for a boat on extended voyaging. She will sleep 9 but 6 is more comfortable.Add to this her wind steering gear means she can be managed short handed quite easily. Roller furling genoa plus removable babystay from which a storm jib can be deployed, slab reefing main plus a number of downwind options depending on crew strength, provide plenty to do for interested crew. Heavy focus on safety with belt braces, piece of string and sometimes gaffer tape approach to back ups

Additional details

So having spoken about the boat what about us? well we like to get the most out of the boat and are gently competitive (i.e. we like to try and be ahead but not at the expense of having fun, or living on energy bars whilst sat on the rail) 3 or more of the core crew (inc the skipper) raced together on offshore races including several Fastnet campaigns, however the boat is run on as easy going attitude as possible for a benevolent dictatorship! We enjoy laughter, much of it at the Skipper's expense. There are several good cooks on board, but all duties are shared as much as possible.
