Description

Madogwy is a Dix 38 completed in steel in Wales circa 2007. After 10 years sailing back and forth to the Med we purchased her in May 2020. The next 9 months were spent outfitting her for Arctic cruising. She is fully insulated with a Refleks diesel stove as the primary source of heat. She is outfitted with all the necessary safety gear for travel above the Arctic circle including AIS, Radar, EPIRB, life raft, cold-weather survival gear, auto-pilot, and windvane self-steering, storm sails, heavy ground tackle, shorelines, and more.

2021: After leaving Belfast we have sailed across the North Atlantic in winter and early spring, circumnavigated Iceland and spent 5 weeks totally self-supported in remote Eastern Greenland. 2022: Now we are headed south by way of Europe, Cabo Verde, Brazil and the east to coast of South America en route to spend the winter in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
