Description

EDENJ Edenj is an Itacatamarans 15.49: a luxury, hi-tech and fast catamaran. The boat offers 4 places for guests in two very comfortable cabins (each with its own private bathroom & shower) – positioned in the port hull - with a total max 6 persons on board, so a lot of space and comfort for a really enjoyable experience. THE CATAMARAN Modern and elegant, with hi-tech construction and several innovative solutions. Very different from other catamarans... 100% built in epoxy and carbon infusion, with carbon mast, front beam and bowsprit, Edenj is conceived and built around 3 equally important pillars: Comfort – Safety - Speed! COMFORT Italian design and finishing, top quality appliances and a full list of comfort amenities provide luxury on board in a relaxed atmosphere: hot water, 100 litres Schenker water maker, Wi-Fi, 3 fridges and 1 freezer, UHD TV and Home Theatre, high quality Hi-Fi, electric and reversible Harken winches controllable from both helm stations for fingertip sailing, electronic ZF engine throttles, 220 V plugs with 8 kwa inverter, 2 kw solar panels, Watt & Sea Hydrogenerator, Starlink high speed internet connection, etc.! The external lounge with table, sofa, daybed, and 360° removable sun shades provide a cozy and fresh atmosphere on the same level while the luxury appointed salon, creating a single large open space. The front deck and comfortable nets offer a vast additional sunny area, with super comfortable puffs and can be also covered with a large canopy, thus realizing a wide fresh area in the front of the boat, with a stunning view. Edenj has 2 cabins with private bathrooms & shower available to guests (the entire port hull), and hosts in total maximum 6 persons at a time, ensuring a true luxury experience on a 15,5m long / about 150 total sqm catamaran! Please see Edenj’s video tour on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjSaKIbN1S0&t=7s. SAFETY Edenj offers unparalleled safety and stability while going at sea: it is one of the few cruising catamarans models in the world with hulls and deck built in one single monolithic piece (just 1 mould). This construction method coupled with the top-notch materials used (100% epoxy resin with structural carbon reinforcements in high load areas), makes the Itacatamaran a super rigid and safe platform. Furthermore, its innovative waterline design, with sharp ad high wavepiercing bows coupled with flat and wide bottoms towards the stern, as well as its top bridgedeck height on the water, contribute to a safe, as well as comfortable, passages over waves. Safety is also taken care by fully retractable high-profile daggerboards (which, unlike charter catamarans with fixed keels, can be totally raised in the unlikely case of super strong storms/very high lateral breakers, thus transforming Edenj in a wide and super buoyant liferaft), additional sails specific for heavy weather (staysail + storm jib), advanced navigation electronics, state of the art lightning protection system, Quantum radar, unique OSCAR (SEA.AI) infrared 24h electronic anticollision system, Class A AIS, EPIRB, Starlink satellite communicatios, masthead strobe light, rope cutters on propellers, etc. Several crash boxes, positioned at the bow and at the stern of each hull, provide adequate buoyancy also in the very unlikely case of a collision with unidentified objects at sea, making the catamaran virtually unsinkable, unlike monohulls. The total capacity of the bilge pumps available on board (2 electric + 1 manual per hull, + 1 additional immersion pump which can be deployed in any open space in the boat) exceeds 30.000 l/h Finally on safety: there is no risky gas on board Edenj, but just electricity. SPEED A lightweight displacement of only 12.5 tons, thanks to Hi-Tech construction, its carbon mast, as well as latest generation high performance sails (One Sails 4TForte Main, jib and staysail, 120 mq furling carbon Code 65, 160 mq furling Gennaker, 195 mq A2 and 210 mq Parasailor), all ensure that you will really go sailing, also with light winds, with speeds frequently above 10 knots and peaks in the 15-20 kts range possible! During the Atlantic crossing we surfed at maximum 25 knots, while our record speed without surfing has been 19 knots!
