Description

The Monsun 31 was built from 1974 until 1982 and is the best seller of all time by Hallberg-Rassy with no less than 904 yachts delivered all over the world. She is a no-nonsense sturdy long distance sailor that has never been modern and will never go out of fashion.

Additional details

My father bought DAX new in 1976, and I have sailed her for almost 50 years now (47). Since 2012 under my personal ownership. I know every bolt and nut of her. She is well equipped with electronic auto pilot (Raymarine), windvane self steering (Windpilot Pacific), 3D radar (Lowrance), AIS transceiver (True Heading). All shrouds and stays new in 2023. Original Volvo Penta MD2B in good condition. Regarding electric/electronic eqpt, my take is to keep it at a minimum. All such gear sooner or later stops working, and one should always be able to reach the destination even with a total electrical breakdown.
