Description

Duncanson 34 it's an old IRC design yacht so built like the proverbial brick dunny shes spent her life in the southern ocean and is well suited to those big weather days when her fat old belly gives a gentle ride. Been steadily working through her as things break... just a few more jobs to do before jumping off the rock towards the solomons. So sailing around Townsville / Whitsunday islands when upgrades to solar wind genny etc added to check on power consumption, extended time off shore before leaving Aus. The yacht has a hydrovane wind steering, new Switlik Ocean Passage life raft, water maker, 2 x fridges, all current up to date safety equipment Iridium go for weather and making those phone calls when needed. Plenty of usb ports to plug in to for charging and if I can ressurect the old computer you can plug the laptop inn to the boat and the AIS, Radar etc on open CPN or I have to get a new one and start again. So if your good with open CPN that will be seen as a real bonus. All new running rigging, Mantus anchor & associated equipment Parachute anchor if heaving to proves to be not the best option. New Axiom chart plotter Radar and a very well stocked bar.;-)

Additional details

Hanging around FNQ waiting out the cyclone season so maybe some fun sailing rather than ok it's time to go this way... Also would be a good time to make sure personalities mesh etc no point in having crew if you don't work well together.
