Description
barrique is a unique, custom-built one-off performance cruiser designed and built by Dr. Andreas Weith. It was a passionate project by the former owner who designed and handcrafted the yacht on his own for a building period of about six years spending more than 6,500 working hours. It is a strip construction built by cedar length strips and two 90° layers of mahagony veneer laminated with epoxy raisin and teak deck, a rod-rig fastened carbon fiber rigg by Nordic mast. Upwind sailing area is about 71m² with a 130m² gennaker for downwind. It has a draft of 2,66m with retractable keel, LOA of 33" (10,00m) and BOA of ~ 10" (2,97). It is a unique, very agile and beautiful boat with tremendous speed and sailing properties which I had the opportunity to acquire from the former owner's widow.
