Description

We bought Ataraxia in 2019 in Spain and have used the pandemic for her to undergo a major refit. Her double hulled construction makes her unsinkable, stiff, and very well insulated. The design is for a couple to make extended ocean cruises. Her layout is very \"owner oriented\" with a large aft suite and a large double bunk suite in the bow. Ataraxia is a true \'deck saloon\' (you can see outside while sitting down below). Her crew cabin underneath the saloon was reduced to one bunk when additional gear was installed including a generator. The previous owner was a very experienced sailor who had the boat customized (new in 2006) with a deeper rudder and taller mast (2011). This is the deep keel version of this model. The picture you are looking at is upon arrival in Lanzarote in October 2021.More pictures can be found on Instagram by searching for "Sail_Ataraxia".

Additional details

Anita and Ludwig are planning some extended cruising. We picked the name of our boat as we are hoping to really enjoy the experience. \"Ataraxia\" roughly translates as \'stress-free\'. We are a \'quiet\' couple \'somewhat\' retired with a very healthy lifestyle. Ludwig and his sons enjoy endurance sports (ultra-running, triathlon and yes, long distance sailing) and have a \'nutrition strategy\' that corresponds with it. We were born in Belgium but immigrated in the USA (New York area) 20+ years ago.
