Hi, I was born 1964 and grew up close to the sailing city FLENSBURG (close to danish border) and started sailing when I was 6 years old. I did lots of sailing on the baltic sea to Denmark and Sweden. I completed a 2,5 years apprenticeship to become a sailmaker. After that I studied medicine and work as anaesthesiologist (which-in Germany- includes much emergency-work). My wife Angelika is an anaesthesiologist too. We do locum work for many years, so we are a little "time-independent". In fact - since many years- we use to travel for about 3 month/year (usually during the German winter), mainly backpacking in Asia/Australia/Africa. Angelika grew up in a sailing family as well cruising in the baltic quite a bit. We both own a Hobie Cat 16 and did some racing in this class including German and European championships (though not to win, rather to participate...). We used to work on the 5 star sailing cruise ship "Seacloud" and "Seaclod II") as ship´s doctor for some weeks/year for many years (did 2 atlantic crossings with "Seacloud"). We consider ourselfs as easy going, curious, open minded with a positive attitude. We have not tried to crew yet, so we are keen and hope to find a good match! May be, it´s you!? PS: forgot to mention, that Angelika likes cooking!! -and we both do scuba diving and love kite-surfing.
