Dear skipper/captain, I‘m looking for opportunities to spend more time on the water and continue to gather experience and further extend my knowledge on the never ending learning story becoming a salty sailor. I’m a very reliable person, respectfully, treat people‘s property and equipment with care. I would describe myself as humorous, easy going and a good team player. My sailing experience is based on actives as racing crew over two seasons on classic sailboats of the 6mR class. I shared a Hunter 33.5 Legend for another two seasons within a 3 owners syndicate here in Vancouver, BC. From qualification perspective, I obtained several ASA certifications for basic/costal/catamaran sailing. Last year I chartered a Lagoon 42 to gather more experience as skipper, sailing the gulf islands. I’m calm in critical situations, very practical and can fix a lot of things due to my apprenticeship as car electrician/mechanics, education/study as electrical engineer and my dad always engaging me in any kind of work/craftsmanship when I was younger. Friends say I’m a great cook, a skill which is surely welcome aboard to help feed hungry sailors, and I’m always open and enjoy some good talks with interesting, open minded people. Hopefully, in a few years I will be able to become a proud owner of a sailing catamaran and spend some years in places right now on my bucket list. Sincerely Uwe
