Hello Fellow Sailors! Hello All, we are excited to be taking delivery of a Lagoon 46 at the factory in France. Leaving France approx. Sept 2019. We do not have a strict plan or time table, this will depend on who is aboard and for how long. We are open to suggestions from those with experience. Initial thoughts are to marina hop/anchor along the coast of France, Portugal and Spain and cruise the Med until time to cross the Atlantic. We would cross at some point after Nov 15th, possibly on the ARC. We haven't registered for the ARC yet, because there could be potential delays in the boat being delivered. We are waiting until we get a bit closer time-wise. If there are still slots available on the ARC and the schedule works out, that might be a fun way to go. Otherwise, we will cross the Atlantic with 5-6 other catamaran owners that are also taking delivery of new Lagoons. After the crossing, Monica will depart to return to school, and I will continue to Florida. Spend February in Florida and then off to the Caribbean with friends and possibly you! If we decide that you will stay aboard for some of the Caribbean cruising, you are welcome to hang out at our home in Florida with us or stay on the boat. Lots of possibilities. Personality and chemistry among crew is a must, so ideally we would spend a week or so sailing in the Med prior to the crossing. I'm frequently in the EU so there would be opportunities for us to meet in person, or at minimum on Skype, prior to a commitment from either of us. I'm retired, fun-loving, just goofing off and enjoy sharing adventures with like-minded people. Ideal crew easy going, flexible, has a great sense of humor and can transfer some of their sailing experience and skills to us. Must have blue water sailing experience (because we don't). Large powerboat experience and have cruised Cuba and the Bahamas extensively. Chartered 3-4 catamarans in Florida, BVI etc. We are not complete beginners, but we need someone with real world experience.
