SAILING EXPERIENCE and GOALS Sailing since 1975 on the Chesapeake Bay. I have owned my current boat for 20 years: 1980 Mariner 36 sloop (N.H. built). For the past year I have been cruising up and down the AICW from the Chesapeake to Florida. I've made one offshore passage on a return boat from Bermuda to Annapolis. Now that I'm living aboard, I want to expand my cruising range up the east coast to Canada and south into the Caribbean and Central America. Eventually I'd like to cruise the Mediterranean then cross the Atlantic back into the Caribbean and transit the Panama Canal. Spend some time exploring the west coast of central America then head north to San Diego and L.A. where I have family. PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE Over 45 years as a professional film and video producer/writer/director. Spent the past 12 years developing and managing TheSailingChannel.TV, an Internet TV channel devoted to sailing with a focus on cruising. Most recent addition is Sailflix, an internet streaming subscription service featuring our full library of current and classic sailing documentaries and how-to videos. In 2016 served as Executive Producer/Producer of the feature length sailing documentary, Red Dot on the Ocean: The Matt Rutherford Story now in its 6th year of broadcast on U.S. Public TV. Veteran: U.S. Army, Captain Military Intelligence/Infantry, 1968 - 1972. .
